About 8 years ago, my uncle passed away from stomach cancer. It was devasting, and I still get a pit in my stomach when I think about holding my dad’s hand as he tried to hold it together while we said goodbye to his best friend. I knew nothing about cancer at the time – only that it had taken away the person everyone says my smile most resembled.

Today, I have the privilege to work for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For each of the 1,914+ days since I was hired, I’ve seen firsthand exactly why we’re the #3 cancer hospital in the world. Our nurses, physicians, admin, valet, volunteers, etc. do everything necessary to take care of every patient and their families as best as possible.
