Dear Family and Friends,

This is the fifth year I'll be I'm riding in the PMC Winter Cycle at Fenway on Saturday, February 4, 2023. I am honored to ride alongside my dear friend, Katie Smith, who lost her mother, Claire Carpenter, to cancer. This ride is very special to me because it was Katie who first sparked my passion for indoor cycle. Since then, I've been a devoted cyclist at Lifetime in Burlington. There's something about cycling that truly brings people together, and I am honored to ride with Katie and the Wheelhouse & Friends crew in memory of her beautiful mother, Claire Carpenter. I'm also riding in honor of Katie Smith, a living proof rider, who has had her own journey with cancer. She has battled this horrific disease with resilience, strength, and positivity. Because that's just who she is; she wouldn't do it any other way.

Thank you for taking the time to read my "why," and thank you for considering contributing to my ride. Most importantly, thank you for taking a moment on Saturday, February 4th to pray for Claire Carpenter, Katie Smith, and all of the men, women, children, and their loved ones, who have been affected by cancer.
